Our Commitment to Quality
Every Serene Life product is crafted to deliver enduring comfort, structural integrity, and refined sleep performance. Our warranty reflects the confidence we place in our materials and craftsmanship.
This warranty operates alongside your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and does not limit or replace those rights.
Warranty Coverage Overview
Warranty Period: 10 years
Covers manufacturing defects and faulty materials
What Is Covered:
Broken or loose internal support systems.
Springs or wires that are protruding or damaged.
Body impressions exceeding 35mm.
Structural faults in mattress construction.
Faulty bases or drawer mechanisms (where applicable).
Bases
Warranty Period: 5 Years
Covered: Structural defects in frame or support system.
Faults in drawers, castors, or base construction
Headboards
Warranty Period: 5 Years.
Covered: Manufacturing defects in frame.
Structural integrity issues
Note: Fabric and stitching concerns must be reported within 14 days of purchase.
Accessories
Return Period Only: 14 Days.
Accessories are not covered under extended warranty but may be returned within 14 days if:
The item is unused
In original condition and packaging
Accompanied by proof of purchase
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not apply to:
Normal wear and tear.
Body impressions under 35mm.
Changes in comfort preference over time.
Damage caused by misuse, mishandling, or negligence.
Use with an unsuitable or unsupported base.
Stains, spills, or unsanitary conditions (will void warranty).
Cosmetic variations that do not affect performance.
Mattress handles (used for positioning only).
Products purchased from unauthorised retailers.
Important Warranty Conditions
To ensure your warranty remains valid:
A mattress protector must be used at all times
The product must be kept clean and stain-free
Proof of purchase must be retained
The bed must be used with a suitable, supportive base
Any visible manufacturing issue should be reported promptly
Serene Life Beds reserves the right to:
Inspect any product before approving a claim
Repair or replace the product or component at its discretion
Use equivalent materials if originals are unavailable
Your Rights Under New Zealand Law
Under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, you are entitled to remedies if a product:
Is not of acceptable quality
Is not fit for purpose
Does not match its description
Where a failure is substantial, you may be entitled to a replacement, refund, or compensation.
Warranty Claim Process
As Serene Life Beds are sold through authorised retailers:
Contact your original retailer
Provide:
Proof of purchase
Description of the issue
Photos (if requested)
If required, an inspection will be arranged
If a manufacturing fault is confirmed:
The product will be repaired or replaced at our discretion
Freight & Transport
This is a return-to-base warranty
Transport costs are the responsibility of the purchaser
If a fault is confirmed within:
12 months (mattresses & bases)
3 months (headboards)
Freight costs may be covered or reimbursed.
Care & Maintenance
To protect your investment:
Rotate your mattress every 2–3 months.
Air regularly to maintain hygiene.
Always use a mattress protector.
Do not bend or fold the mattress.
Avoid standing or jumping on the bed.
Ensure the base is stable and properly assembled.
Do not lift using handles.
Avoid moisture and liquid exposure.
Failure to follow care guidelines may void the warranty.
Comfort Adjustment Period
A new mattress may require 3–4 weeks for your body to adjust.
This is normal and does not indicate a defect.
Comfort Preference Disclaimer
Comfort preference is subjective and not considered a manufacturing fault.
Retailers may offer their own comfort exchange policies. Please consult your retailer directly.
